The World Hash House Harriers Marketplace began as a sort of classified ads section in Global Trash magazine, first published in September 1993. When the magazine went on-line in 1995, the HHH Marketplace went on-line as well, offering items of interest from hashers around the world to hashers around the world.

FREE Non-Commercial Marketplace Listing: Limited time ads are free for hashes and hashers trying to get rid of overstocked haberdashery items or those selling items for interhash money, but not as a living. In otherwords, you can put a non-commercial hash related ad in free! However, no spammers!
Commercial Marketplace Listing: If you have an item of Hash House Harriers interest that you would like to put in the marketplace (sporting goods, beer, etc.), click on the Publisher link and and contact us about ad rates. Publisher reserves the right to refuse ads not of interest to the general hash public and may remove an ad at anytime that has phishing or spamming practices, pornography or other bad or illegal business practices, with no refund.
For non-GT items sold here by hashes, hashers and other vendors, you will have contact and order information on their pages. Contact them directly. Do not contact GT or the webmaster regarding those items unless you wish to report a bad experience and register a complaint concerning that vendor.
Global Trash (GT) is not responsible for any problems you have with products sold here by other vendors.
Shipping and Handling - All Global Trash items are shipped by China Post to all destinations. If the cost and type of order allows it, most items shipped by what is called 2 week rate, however, that may mean a few days or 3 or more weeks if you are in a country not easily serviced by China. Shipping and handling costs include labor, shipping, packaging and, in some cases, tracking costs. This is averaged out and not exact, so some customers may pay a little more, some a little less depending on location so that we do not lose money. We are not responsible for customs duties applied by your country nor seizure of goods due to the whims of various national interests or local customs officials. We ship in good faith that it will arrive at your location and are up front on our site about the goods you are purchasing. If you think your local customs are strict about what an item may display or contain, please do not order it (for example, words like 'Hash Bible' in Muslim countries or logos that may resemble trademarks or characters that are protected passes most customs, but may receive harsher attention where you live).
Shipping Losses/Reshipping Policy - Since some items shipped may be kept in the customs/postal inspection of some countries for weeks and shipping to some countries take longer than others, we will not reship an item lost for two months. Wait two full months from the shipping date plus one day, then email Stray Dog at the link on the top of this page and register a complaint that the item was not received. If our tracking indicates you did not receive the item, we will reship it at no expense to you. We are not responsible if tracking indicates it was delivered, as we cannot purchase insurance for shipped items from China and the cost would be out of pocket.
Reliability & Availability - Many items listed by GT are in stock and shipped in 1 - 3 working days, however if the item is not in stock, is a publication awaiting printing, or it is a tailor-made or labeled item that requires some work before shipping, it may take up to 4 to 8 weeks for delivery (although this is rare), sometimes longer for periodicals, depending on the vendor or time available to do the work. If this is not acceptable, please email first and get an estimated time of delivery before ordering. GT is not responsible for any items that arrive too late for a scheduled event and will not give a refund based on that. Always order at least 8 weeks prior to any such event for best results (longer if not in China). If in doubt, email us. More on refunds below.
Refunds - GT provides refunds ONLY for those items ordered from us which arrive to you defective or damaged for which we do not have a replacement in stock. We do not refund any items that are tailor made, as we would be unable to sell them. We do not refund items simply because they arrived to late for an event which you purchased them. Again, always order at least 8 weeks prior to any such event for best results (longer if not in China). We are not a major merchandizer, but a volunteer organization supporting the HHH with our hard work and through your support by making purchases from us in the marketplace. So, as a little guy, we cannot afford losses due to the fraud, procrastination or the frivolous whims of shoppers and such loses hurt those hashes and hashers who receive our free services provided through these sales. We cannot get insurance for shipping through China Post, so it is all out of personal pocket at a loss.
To request a refund, email us with the details first to ensure that a refund is authorized. Then, carefully pack the damaged item(s) and ship them to GT, enclosing a reference to the invoice number they were ordered under. You are responsible for insurance on returned items. Send them to Stray Dog at the contact address above. Again, no refunds for tailor made items such as buttons, screen or pad printed haberdashery, specially made covers for books, etc.
What Happens to Your Beer Money? - Global Trash is a not-for-profit organization that puts any additional money back into the hash through free information and web services, as well as hash and event sponsorship. When you purchase from us, you know your beer money is going for a good cause, rather than in some commercial entity's pocket as in the case of hash classifieds you see on other websites. We have used some funds (when lucky enough to have them) to partially defray interhash weekends to cover them for our publications (although we have yet to afford the world Interhash). In other words, if you have heard from competitors and detractors that we are some big commercial stain on the hash, it is just so much bullshit. In the first several years of Global Trash it mostly ran in the red, coming out of my own pocket. Due to cheaper operating costs in China, we are able to bring it into the black and thus we are now able, through your purchases and donations, to offer many more services to the hash around the world.
